I've noticed a couple of times today that the green light of my MacBook Pro's built-in iSight camera appears to be turning on by itself. Not sure if the camera is actually turning on, or just the light. I've checked the Activity monitor, and I can't find an app that might be using it. Certainly the main ones such as PhotoBooth, iChat, Yahoo, etc. are not running, even in the background.
Has anyone heard of this before?

I hope you're dressed!
It was the little green light that busted the Philadelphia area school board (http://boingboing.net/2010/02/17/school-used-student.html) as it was spying on its students.

That sort of activity would occur, for example, if the laptop has Hidden (http://hiddenapp.com/) installed and the owner either reported it stolen or put it in test mode via Hidden's client page.

Haven't installed Hidden or any other app. I'm the only one that controls this machine.

That used to happen quite frequently with my Macbook. To fix the problem just reset the PRAM.
Seemed to fix the problem for me.
