Thanks Steve, I appreciate the offer. However, the development is done. I already have the FMP db on my desktop machine with all the data collected.
I'm looking for some info on using FileMaker Go on the iPad as a way of presenting my findings to the client. In the past, we would write a report on the findings which can be time consuming. I'd like to just sit down with them and go through the data. I had considered using Bento as the dB and the Bento app to present it via the iPad, but the output from the app is pretty ugly. I just want to know if FileMaker Go will look like the desktop db I made. It looks good in the ads, but so did the Bento app. |

The problem may be is that you are attempting to approach the two as being the same devices. They aren't. There are certain guidelines you should follow with regard to font size and size of buttons, etc. Any iPad apps I develop work with the Master app on the desktop (actually FM Server). They don't try to open up the Master using any form of connection, that only works if the iPad is on the same network as the desktop.
Again I'd be happy to discuss this with you but it's not an easy discussion to have in a forum. Feel free to call me and I'll be happy to discuss it with you.
