I don't know if this is part of a general problem, but iClod -- er, iCloud, though if that name catches on, I call dibs -- has already messed up my calendar.

Everything was fine and synced across an iPhone, Macbook, and Mini until I decided to get organized and consolidate a couple of calendars, delete some, and rename one. Just like that, everything has gone to hell. Every device now has a different version of the calendar and iCloud.com still shows the old calendars I deleted plus some random assortment of new appointments.

I never met a sync solution that was worth the hassle. I guess my hopes were too high for iCloud. At this point I don't even know what to do except sit and wait and hope Apple sorts it out somehow. It's not even like iSync where you could push a "master" copy onto other devices if the sync got messed up

Did you make sure all your devices were updated including your Mac to 10.7.2 prior to converting your MobileMe account to an iCloud account as per the warning that appears before the conversion takes place?

Sure did.

I'm not sure how I fixed it except to give it time and toggle iCloud off and then on a few times on each device. Magic, in other words. It's very convenient when it works, but still needs some polish and more exposed controls.

But I thought that iCloud was the best backup ever and that I wouldn't want/need anything else if I used it?
