Moving emails back into the cloud?

Hi, this might be a bit of an odd question. A friend of mine has been using Outlook on Mac for a long time and has tons of email stored locally. Does anyone know if it is possible to move it back into the cloud on maybe a gmail account?

yes always..
set up up the new IMAP or Exchange account in tandem with the old account..
then create a new folder(s) on the new account and just drag them over..
if the new account is IMAP or Exchange they will move over to the cloud in the new folder.
simple as pie..

just hope you have enough bandwidth and data transfer allow for the month..
depending on the amount of emails to move it may take a very long time
