Dot-Mac account holders can pick up a free copy of DropStuff, a quick utiltity for creating Stuffit archives for eMail or the web.
A discounted price of $US40 is also offered for the full version of Stuffit Deluxe 7, which is OSX compatible. The deluxe version is handy if you need to create .zip archives for PC users, but offers some other handy features such as encryption and password protection.
The deals are offered for a limited time, you have 60 days to take advantage of them.
If you need occasional use of these features and don't have a .mac account, Alladin offers demo versions that can do the trick.
A lot of the tools necessary to deal with file compression and archiving are available from within OSX, but Stuffit format is very common, and Alladin has supported the Mac with mostly free tools since the 80's. A good company to support.

They are one and the same and cannot be avoided or denied. So when I totally embrace this process, this life/death, and abandon myself to it, I transcend all this gibberish and hang out with the gods. It seems to me that that is worth the price of admission." —Hubert Selby, Jr.
