Apple Fedex Pickup Policy

Dang, I was hoping to get my brand new 15" Macbook Pro by today, sadly I can't. While its at the facility delivery by truck, I cannot pick it up until one delivery attempt has been made.

Anyone else have this happen to them? Also, is there any way around it? Can I call Apple to put a note in my tracking number to release it? Or am I doomed to get it Monday.

I feel for ya.
I'm in the same boat with UPS. I have a 27" cinema display sitting at the local depot (came in this afternoon). But unfortunately I have to wait until Monday when it goes out for delivery.

Crappy part is it was supposed to be here today.
Same thing happened last week with my Air.
Supposed to come on friday, but came on tuesday instead.

It sucks, but thats the way it is.
My advise? Try not to think about it.

That's standard for couriers. Not really much you can do about. It's only a couple of days - on Tuesday, you won't care.

Are you sure the scratches aren't on the clear protective shipping film that you forgot to remove in your excitement getting the new Mac?? You never know. ;-)
