my experience with the XT is that its a great performing 7200rpm drive+...probably the quietest and least vibration-prone ive ever had in a laptop. before having it in the 17" umbp i have it in now i had it in a non-unibody 15", which used to shake so bad with a WD 7200 rpm that i took it out, and i couldnt even notice the difference between the XT and the 5400rpm drive i had in before

don't go into it expecting life changing performance though. its good, but nothing like a real ssd
