Personally, I like the anti-glare display - there's less glare and reflection generally and the colour is more accurate. That said, colours, especially in games, will be more vibrant on a glossy display, and you may like that in the end. It really comes down to personal preference.
Also - get at least 8GB of RAM.

What is the maximum RAM allows on the MBP? Isn't it 8GB?
Also, do you advise getting the basic 4gb ram with the unit, and then getting the additional 4gb from another (cheaper) source? Or are there advantages to going with the apple provided upgraded ram?

The MBP has 2 slots, so whatever RAM comes in there from factory will need to come out to upgrade it to 8GB unless you order it from Apple with 8GB.

Do you think I need the i7 MBP so I get the 512mb video card? Or do you think the i5 with 256mb is sufficient to play WoW at least on medium-high settings?
It's a fair big jump financially between the two, and I'm just wanting enough so I can play without the graphics looking horrible.
Frankly, I don't really game anymore, so the MBP would mainly be used for everyday use and maybe some photo/video editing a bit.

Go refurb and save a bundle.
