If I was to plug in a Dell ST2220T touchscreen display into my MacBook Pro, will there be any touchscreen support? I see according to the spec sheet there's mouse support, but what about multitouch? Is there a standard USB protocol spec for this sort of thing?

I suspect the touch functions would work just fine, as many touch screens just send the information to the computer the same way a mouse would, so it should behave similarly. Unless this one is pressure-sensitive, it should work fine.

It's simple to implement single touch, but it's much more difficult to implement multitouch. Unless the system advertises multi-touch, then I would assume it can't do it. Plus, Mac drivers for multi-touch would likely not come with the display.
