I wonder what the Apple fixit solutions will be available if they really are legitimate and genuine problems??

But notice how the included youtube video showed the "problem" jittering graphics problem disappeared after a reboot??

Not exactly a serious problem for a brand new Mac imho. Especially if it's only just run right 'out of the box'.

This is fairly typical of RevA product with Apple.

The RevA MBPs had auto-shutdown issues.

The RevA MBs had "Mooing" issues.

The PBs had the "Lower Memory Slot" issues - but that was not just the RevA's...

And it goes on. Hopefully this isn't a widespread problem...

For those researching the MBA's before buying, MacinTouch has a page [s]dedicated to problems with the model[/s]:

MacBook Air

EDIT: My brain was thinking one thing, my eyes seeing another. Let it be amended that the MacinTouch page linked above includes new owners discussing their new baby.

EDIT 2: Is there no "strikethrough" BBCode?

EDIT 3: Hm. Crap. Looks like ehMac's version of vbulletin doesn't have the [s][/s] tagset active.

Funny - I read through that entire page, and apart from someone complaining about a problem with AOL (really???) and one poor soul who'd gotten a DOA MBA, most of those posters seemed mighty happy to me!

I always thought that if you had to have a RevA problem, the Fans making a "MOO!" when they started up was probably the best of the worst.

I had a 15" 1st Gen MBP with the shutdown issues. Apple replaced the logic board and it never did it again.

So fret not, new MBA owners... your woes (if they exist) can probably be fixed. If not, Steve Jobs will just send you an e-mail stating "you're using it wrong".

Interesting, that video showed the guy closing his MBA and the jitter stayed so probably not in the cabling though I might have done that a few times just to be sure....

Guess that's the problem with something brand new but it does sound like Apple is more than willing to help those out with the problem.

Wonder if owners of a particular run of MBA's may get lucky further down the road if this turns out to be a component issue on the motherboard and Apple decides to extend the warranty on those that are affected.....

Oh, to be naive. The reboot is a temporary fix - the problem will come back. You can't fix a hardware failure by rebooting, dude.

Serious enough when you need a new logic board out of the box.
