questionable cosmetic changes in Snow Leopard

After using Snow Leopard for a week or so, I'd decided I don't like two of the cosmetic changes that were made.

1) I don't like the way Expose looks and feels. I'm not exactly sure what is it, but something about the way it now lines up all the windows in strict rows seems kind of ... strict. Expose previously had a sort of organic feel to it. Also, the blue highlight that used to indicate the selected window is pretty lame. Feels like something Microsoft would do when they were trying to be like Apple.

2) That new Quicktime icon is ugly. Again, kind of looks like something designed by a 3rd party that's trying to look like an Apple product. The original Quicktime icon was so distinctive and ubiquitous -- why change it to this, I dunno, fat TRON wheel?

I agree - the "new" Expose looks cheezy, and really stutters along, as if it was some nasty hack written for dopey Windoze, rather than the smooth and slick OSX feel that we have had for five years. I can't say that I like the brown poo-like border fill for Finder either.

Not only is the new icon ugly - it's some crappy QuickTime X garbage. I think it was like when iMovie was fairly popular, then they axed iMovie HD and all of the usefulness that iMovie had just to bring out something new but inferior. Maybe QuickTime was just too popular, you know, everyone was using it - so this is Apple's way of saying "don't bother us to add some actual modern Codecs", and forcing people to go VLC or something.

With these moves, Apple is no threat to become a monopoly...

I actually like the way both look and feel.
