Snow Leo and SuperDuper

Is it just me or has anyone else noticed that the new SD is a real dog when running on Snow Leopard.
Mine at least has totally lost the ability to do those speedy incremental backups that SD was really good at, my effective throughput never gets over 3-5MB/s whereas before it just ripped through the early stages of an incremental backup.

My mileage differs - performance is about the same as before. Check the options you're using.

Or direct from the SuperDuper/Shirt-Pocket! site.

HOWEVER: occassionally I have in the past provided links to instructions or illustrations. I will not do so in future, in fact I will not be offering helpful advice for free just to have my words pirated until the sleazy ad linking desists. I will, however, answer PMs.

Thanks, but I already have the update, that's the one that is giving me the problems.

There's another new 2.6.1 update today, so give that a try.

I wonder if Carbon Copy Cloner might be a better choice. I've barely checked out Snow Leopard, so I'll have to see if I experience the same things you are when I'm up and running.

I've switched almost entirely to CCC

I did a clone when testing SL and it seemed fine....

Won't be switching to it for a while as the day to day OS yet. Need some enhancement updates first.
