Parallels and Windows updates

Hello all,

I'm having issues updating Windows in Parallels. I get the automatic update notices, click yes to install them, they start to install, and then I get an "Invalid data" message.

Any thoughts?

Chas_m,
I really think Pxlgirl was hoping for some help, not just some smart ass remark.

Far from. I wouldn't touch Windows with a thirty-nine-and-a-half foot pole. I just try not to scare away the new kids if I can help it. Even you must have been a noob once, Chas.

What was the problem? It might help someone else in the future?

From what I can tell, it was because I hadn't installed SP2 after installing XP. It's been a while since Windows, so I forgot about the whole SP2 - SP3 thing. Seems to be working great now!
