Heard soooo much on this and trying to make sense of it all. I use Safari Primarily with exploder as a back up as Safari doesn't seem to work for every site. A friend recommended Camino which I am trying out now. And now I hear about firefox 1.0, Opera??!!? Is there really any differance? Are they specialized? My mom always said I was special so maybe I should use one made more for me! (Really slow and unreliable).

I like Shiira and it's still fast since I refuse to update to 10.3.6.
BTW send the developer notes on the problem.

Very easy to customize to your work flow. The slide out drawers worth their weight in gold for me.
I like the skins availability too for a bit of variety and completely customizable menu bar..

I just cruised FireFox for a bit and did not find it much faster but very limited in features for what I do.

I use Safari as a secondary for click through so that neither bogs after a long session and the occasional click through that hangs ups up does not lose the open Shiira work windows.

If Safari isn't working for you on every site, then I wouldn't worry about OmniWeb or Shiira because they use the same rendering engine as Safari (Apple's WebKit/Core).

Camino is probably the most "Mac like" of the alternatives, I'd recommend giving it a try. Firefox is nice (and has probably the nicest feature set) but it's not up to par in terms of Mac UI.

All of the browsers have good points for the most part. Try them all out. They're all free or free with advertising.

It will all come down to personal preference. I personally prefer Apple Webkit browsers. They would be Safari, Omniweb, and Shiira. Shiira is my favourite but has been running like a dog since the update. Safari and Omniweb are stable.

I personally don't like Mozilla Browsers. They would be Mozilla/Netscape, Camino and of course Firefox. I don't like the rendering on any of these browsers. If blazing speed is your thing, Firefox is for you. These browsers tend to offer a more PC type of experience.

If you want to be different, try Opera. Great rendering, highly customizable, pretty quick. It does not lend itself to either Mac or PC so it is kind of its own thing.

iCab just sucks IMHO.
