Macbook Pros 13" on ebay.. just wow... liars!

I'm just astounded.. How can there be 6 months used MBP 13"??? LOL

every MBP 13" on eBay that I've seen so far was actually a uMB.. People trying to pass the off as an MBP to make more money?

I heard that eBay had sunk low, but I hadn't really noticed until now...

Well especially now that Apple is calling the 13" MB Unibody the MBP - it does muddy things. I agree that it's probably shady people on eBay, but I also suggest that it is a it muddy (and if I got a crummy screened MBU instead of a great long-battery life'd 13" MBP, I'd be pretty ticked!)

I don't think Apple is calling the UMB a UMBP now.. Since they don't have the same feature-set. A UMB is different from UMBP... So this is malicious on the part of the ebayers...

Oh well like anythign else on the Internet, gotta be careful, is all.. I was just shocked seeing it happen to such a level. Like it wasn't just one or two auctions, it was DOZENS.

I posted my Unibody 13" Macbook on ebay with the following tiitle " Apple Macbook Aluminum 13" specs, specs, specs, specs Pro NR". ("Specs" replaced with actual specifications"

Now, I understand what the OP in this thread is saying, however, by adding "Pro" at the end, what i did was broaden the amount of people that view my auction when they search for the product. I don't consider this to be dishonest. I consider this to be smart.

Moreover, the new machines are identical to the UMB in build quality to the MBP with a spec and feature update. Even the better screens were included in the UMB as of March.

So you are saying that it's not "smart". You would have to provide a more compelling argument then that statement. Moreover, my honesty is clear as in the detailed item information the item is clearly listed as "Macbook" not "Macbook Pro". Passing judgment without analyzing all the nuances doesn't make you any more intelligent.

Or- smart sellers will report you for keyword spamming, hoping to get your auction pulled and/or have you sanctioned, and thus eliminate you as competition.

That would be true if the item was listed as a "Macbook Pro" which would make it dishonest and a false listing but the item is listed as a "Macbook" by category.

I saw your auction on eBay and also though your title was misleading. Just my 2¢
