Does billings import quickbooks database?

Hi Folks,

I started using Quickbooks a few years back for my invoicing needs.

I'm looking at switching to daylite and billings as my CRM b/c i'm tired of torturing my macbook pro by going into windows

I also want to keep a tighter grip on my activity, hence the CRM need.

BUT, I have 5 or so years worth of client details, invoicing history, product details (how many slideshows i've done, number of additional dvd copies sold, number of video transfer hours etc...) which is important to have.

Has anyone experienced importing a quickbooks database successfully into Billings?

Also, regarding daylite and daylite touch - is the calendar feature seperate from the iphone's cal app? Does it all integrate with my existing address book?

Cheers,
keebler

I'm sure that Oakbridge will set you straight on this, but I suspect that the answer will be no. Billings is a simple application that really only handles -- you guessed it -- billings.

However, Daylite might be able to take care of this for you, and your invoices can be driven from the Daylite database.

Marketcircle has a decent support forum that is monitored by their staff. Might want to check there.

Crawford is correct, Quickbooks is a General Ledger based accounting package. Billings is a great little app to record time for service based people and to record retainers, payments, and issue invoices. It does not handle anything else than that.

You can look at MoneyWorks, and after July 1st, you'll be able to consider MYOB which might (I'd have to check) have some method for converting data from Quickbooks.

Regarding Daylite Touch. It's data is separate from the Contact and Calendar data of your iPhone or iPod Touch. You can have the data synchronize with both Daylite Touch and the Contact and Calendar section.
