Looking for templates

I'm looking for some free templates to use to design a flyer for a product we want to introduce and sell. The ones in Pages just dont do it for my husband! I've been googling and looking at different ons but not really getting too far.

Any suggestions are most welcome.

Thanks

This has actually been discussed before:

3rd Party iWork Pages Templates???

But didn't get very far. I'm surprised you didn't find anything on Google -- I found tonnes!

iWorkCommunity: Template Exchange (they have 292 templages for pages, quite a few in the brochures/newsletters category)

Free iwork Templates (four nice-looking free brochure templates here)

Some free ones I found via a Ft. Langley BC website (??): http://www.itsmysite.com/cgi-bin/its...r=fortlangley2

And of course both Jumsoft and KeynotePro offer commercial packages of Pages Templates. This where you will find -- by far -- the most professional designs outside Apple's own.

Finally, you could just MAKE your own template -- I do this all the time, it's quite amazing what you can come up with just by using the "Shapes" drawing menu and some imagination.

I am looking for a template for a flyer to sell a product. With room for two pix max, and suitable to be cut in half for a size of 5.5" x 8".

Some of the links will take you to the website but the links to the actual templates dont work.

That sounds like you might need to make your own. Why not find a style you like and adapt it to your needs.

I may have to do that. I'm fairly new to Macs so I was hoping for a ready made one.

Thanks,

I often take a basic flyer layout (from Pages templates or one of the free ones) and remove/change elements to fit my needs. It's very easy to do this in Pages.

I played around with a blank sheet in Pages and found it easier to work with than I expected. Probably because I have had 15 yrs of using Microshaft products

I had tried the ready made templates in Pages and wasnt able to do what I wanted, but it could be lack of experience with it that was at the root of it!

Thanks for all of the help and ideas!

I was getting ahead of myself, and now that I've had time to play around with Pages templates, I've gotten better at getting what I want. Just thought I'd provide an update that had a positive outcome!

Thanks,
