Mini DisplayPort to HDMI
Monoprice to the rescue! Mini DisplayPort to HDMI now available
So all you New Macbook and New Mini owners Monoprice has come out with an adapter for the Mini Display port to HDMI and best of all because it is Monoprice, it is inexpensive. $14.25 US! not bad at all.

cool. I just wish Apple would enable the audio out from the port.

I am trying to figure out if I should be going mini-dvi to hdmi or mini displayport to hdmi to pair a 2009 Mac Mini with a Dell ST2210 monitor. I have a mini-dvi dongle but would prefer a single cable such as the mini display/port to hdmi.
Any thoughts?

the monoprice adapters are VERY hit and miss. my experience they seem to run at about a 3 work to 1 not work ratio

The feelings were mixed. Saw a small poll of 7; 5 were using displayport. A few other suggestions here and there said the difference was not noticeable. I may try both as Monoprice is quite cheap.

you shouldn't visually be able to see a difference between mdvi-hdmi and mdp-hmi. on your display they should be visually identical
why not just go Mini DVI-DVI into that monitor? that way you can bypass monoprice's questionable adapters altogether?

If you don't want Monoprice, check for dealers who stock the Logiix adaptors. Mini DisplayPort to DVI and MiniDisplayPort to HDMI. They are more money, granted, but available in Canada and good quality.
