Help w/pages

Hi, KitKat here. I'm using Pages template "Elegant Business Cards" . I designed my first card and want to copy it to the other seven cards on the plate, but can't seem to do that. Can anyone give me "step by step" instructions? Thanks so much, KitKat PS. I can't remember my password to start my own thread.

1. Remove the text blocks from the other seven cards.

2. Holding the shift, option and command keys down, select the "first" text block and drag it over to the second card. This creates a duplicate. Stop when the guides indicate you are in alignment.

3. Deselect the text blocks.

4. Repeat step 2, this time going down instead of over.

5. Repeat as needed.

Now, I've been wondering about this or a while and I guess Chas' answer applies to my question that WHY can't Pages, when you're using a document with the blue separator lines to demarcate card of label layouts can it not automatically clone data in the other regions as you build it in one region? This would save a pita procedure of manually option-dragging and tweaking positions.

Hi Kitkat,

Simple solution: Try holding down the command (Apple) key then touch the + key as many times as you need to, to enlarge the type until you can read it easily.

It sure beats "hollering" at everyone with caps.

SINC (that's all in caps, right?) please note that the post you quoted states "I can't see the screen." That reads like a vision problem, not a shouting one. Even in enlarged text, caps help some readers.

Sorry However, I no longer "note" anything you have to say and you know very well why.

I presume it's because not all users of such templates want the same data in all cards?

Sitting Bull - You can! Go to System Preferences, click on Universal Access and turn on the zoom feature. You can then zoom into items by holding control and using the scroll wheel on your mouse, or press Command-Option-Plus and Command-Option-Minus to zoom in and out respectively.
