Mine does. I live downtown Fredericton and have two powerbooks surfing really quite well, inside the house, and all for FREE!!! HHAHAHAHA. No, really, its a pretty good deal for broke students like myself.
St.John's International Airport is a wi-fi zone, as is the university in which I teach, Memorial University. Sadly, there are "issues" with Memorial's wi-fi reception with my iBook.

*Sigh* ...universities with WiFi. I am so jealous! One of the two major universities in Halifax has WiFi - unfortunately, I neither attend nor teach there. No, I'm stuck at the other one, where questions about WiFi elicit responses like , "Huh? What's that?"
Once, while sitting in the library, I flicked on MacStumbler - it found a network, and a strong one at that. The SSID had been changed to something that indicated it was a Library-related network. I asked the staff - no idea. They referred me to the Library's technology guy - he denied that one existed, until I opened the laptop to show it to him.
The campus is full of people lugging laptops around, but the IT people's response to why there isn't a campus-wide network (or even a small access point near the on-campus Tims!) is: "there are security issues."
Oh. I see. And apparently, the IT dept. at my university has yet to discover WEP / MAC filtering, VPNs, etc.
Oh, woe is me... guess I'll have to continue to spend my time (and money) at the WiFi cafe that sits... right beside the other university.
Holy Cow.
Dal doesnt have WIFI? What's up with that. You'd think with all the money they charge the students they's at least set up some sort of cheap WIFI network for them.
I could be getting free WiFi courtosy of my neighbour across the way who has the new Shaw Extreme-I Internet, but I would feel too badly, so I use my own. Calgary however, does have certain area's that are "HotSpots", which are identified by having stickers placed to tell you. One of my favourite spots that is WiFi friendly, Westworld Computers (Calgary Macintosh Experts ). Curious to see what other cities have them, keep posting people!
Ekcondon, maybe you should tell your neighbor about his security issue. Maybe he'll let you in on it if you show him how to secure it.
I have a friend down the street who needed wireless. I had an extra wireless access point so I gave it to him. I set it up using my iBook since he is on Windows. Once it was up and running we left my admin level access. Since our kids are good friends I can now sit beside his pool and "surf" using my iBook while the kids swim.
