A Future Shop is finally being built here in Fredericton. I thought I remembered someone mentioning Apple products being available at a Future Shop (and the terrible service).
Future Shop did sell Apple computers, but they don't carry them anymore. Their "parent" company, Best Buy, now sells Apple computers, accessories, etc.
Actually they only ever had a few Macs on display but didn't actually sell them. Instead the salesmen just ushered potential buyers away from the few Macs they had, and pointed them toward a PC. During this ushering event, the following words could be heard from the salesman...
"You don't want a Mac, there is no software for them, and the manufacturer is going out of business soon."
Well, okay, perhaps I exaggerate a bit, but I witnessed that exact event in a FutureShop.

You know, I always figured no self-respecting Mac fan is going to want to stick around to flog Macs in a place as PC-centric as FutureShop... they'd be trying to sell them in a Mac reseller. A less indifferent / hostile environment to make a living in, no?
I visited a fair number of Future Shops during the period when they were selling Macs and not once did I see a sales person chat up a customer about the Mac, let alone witness one actually sell a Mac.
Far as I was concerned, that was a channel best avoided.
No, but they do stock them.
AFAIK, they do carry the iMac and the iBook line, but nothing high end. If you can't find a local Mac reseller in your area, buy from Apple direct and have the peace of mind.

They *used* to stock them and they *used* to sell them. But several months ago, they pulled them to let Best Buy take that aspect of the business over.
It seems somewhat shortsighted since not all geographic areas have both BB and FS.
They sold very few, but they did negotiate on prices pretty well - try that at a boutique style Mac place!
Currently the FS website has one 17" FP G4 iMac for $1999 in stock. It must be old stock from the summer, it wasn't there a couple of weeks ago.
I hope no one buys it at that price.
The new 17" 1.8Ghz G5 iMac with Superdrive is going for that price.
