The problems just never stop. I finally received my new OWC laptop battery (which gives a whopping 3.5 hours of charge! Woo!) for my Pismo, and now my DVD-ROM module is acting up.

I'm asking for a favour from any fellow Pismo users in Toronto. If possible could we meet up and try your DVD module in *my* Pismo? I think this will tell me if it is the DVD-ROM module, or my Pismo that is dying.

Thanks!

My Pismo's DVD died early too. Basically the LG brand that comes with many of them has a life of about 2 days

Go to xlr8yourmac.com where they keep an excellent DB with 119 user reports for combo drives for the Pismo.

I ended up buying a DVD burner from eBay.
