Long story Short

Got my wife a Macbook for a gift because I got MBP and loved it. We have both moved from PC. I have adapted, she has not. She is a Medical Professional and is really getting frustrated at not being able to adapt. In order to save me some money by moving her back to PC does anyone know if I can get some sort of Mac tutor in Toronto.

Can Apple store help out etc?????

Thank You

get her 1 to 1

The apple store offers a service called one to one:

essentially what it is is personal lessons with an apple creative at the apple store. the one to one membership is $99 and is a year long. the membership includes 1 lesson a week for 52 weeks (1 year). each lesson is 1 hour long. if you miss one week then that one hour is gone. if you want your wife to get more than an hour a week of lessons simply buy her more memberships. so for example, 4 memberships will get her 4 hours a week. and so on.

if you want you can just run windows in bootcamp, along side os 10, then let her use windows and slowey move to leopard.

When I first switched it was crazy, trying to convert WMV files! So I know how it is changing

Remember,

I Had Just Switched To Mac, This Was Like 2005. And Plus I Like To Play My Tracks In iTunes not Quick Time.

WOW,

Thank You everyone for the replies.

Last Question.

If I go the Bootcamp route do I need all new Windows programs or does it use Mac Office etc??

Thank You

If not I will go the 1-1 route

You have to use windows versions of office. Normally, I would torrent in this situation but, I don't reccommed it.

There are also free office suites such as Open Office that may be adequate.

Plus, FlipforMac is not the end all-be all solution. Playing 1080p WMV files on my iMac (2.8 Ghz w 4GB ram) is like a slideshow at best.

Even VLC has a hard time playing some 1080p WMV files. (no audio)

Weird...
