My imac screen is suddenly very dim, I have it set to 100%

but it is so dim. It's only 2 months old, is there a way I can check if there is a problem with the backlight?

Can I run the hardware test for that?

I was going to ask for some type of hardware testing for the Mac, good question. My Mac is set at like 40% and its perfect. Call Apple see what they have to say about it .

Hmm... Perhaps try the famous ScreenCleaner Pro utility. Here's a review. I tried it and it works like a charm! I run it every once in awhile to bring the display back to like new. Best of all it's FREE!

That might not be as funny for someone whose screen is dim.
