How does Time Machine handle an iPhoto Library?

Since Finder sees the iPhoto Library as one big file, how would it handle incremental backup? If I change one photo in my Library, the file changes so does TM make an incremental backup? That would seem nuts since iPhoto Libraries can get very large. Mine is 56GB.

The iPhoto library is actually a bundle aka a folder that the Finder sees as one object. But it actually is a folder containing lots of items...

I'm sure Time Machine is intelligent enough to see that

You're right, Time Machine is able to 'see into' bundles such as the iPhoto Library. Not only that, but if you start Time Machine with iPhoto running and in focus, it will let you browse all previous snapshots of your iPhoto events/albums etc. right in iPhoto.
