well, on the apple trend blogs show new macbooks and mackbook pros coming out around mid-september. i would not buy a new laptop now. and when the new models are introduced, if you don't think the improvement is worth your while, you'll still be able to pick up the current models, but at a discount...

I was waiting for the new ones but than my macbook died and my macbook pro is in Canada...so I had to get another mbp here for work....sucks.

Also see MacWorld...they have very detailed scenarios, which while are all guess work to be sure, are interesting nonetheless. They are saying there will be "something special" under the hood. The writer I read is guessing Intel Centrino but with an NVidia graphics solution.
