Aw man-bye bye Firewave

Just got through talking with someone from Griffin Technologies and yes, the Firewave will not be made anymore. So where does that leave us Mac users for multichannel sound? Maybe if you can afford a set of speakers with a digital input
otherwise.....hopefully someone can prove me wrong on this one. I've looked around for PCI -E sound cards that work on the mac , fruitlessly Maybe the standard is too new.

Yep that's the way to go for sure GT .. any mac with optical outs can take advantage of a setup like that easily and it works great.
