Price Check etc. for Samsung LCD 15" 1028 x 768

A friend of a friend has a

Samsung 15" lcd display (one year old)
with a max resolution o 1028 x 768.

She is willing to part it for about $180

Is this a good price? Or is it good to have at all?

My issue with it is:
It is a bigger screen, but the resolution is no
better than my 12" ibook G3 500.

Even for a low-end 15", I'd say that's a great deal.
