3rd time's the charm

God Bless Apple, Steve Jobs and Apple Care ! (oh yeah, and the folks at ehmac.ca)
Okay, here's the doo-dah. After having my G5 cough up a lung in April 2008
after having been repaired in 2006, twice...(yeah, yeah, get to the chase)
and I sent all my info into Apple HQ in Cupertino, I got finished talking with a nice person from Apple Canada

End Result- I ship 'em my old unit, they ship me a new mac pro. Just like that...
when he told me this I was all
couldn't do anything for my mom's old G4 powerbook as nothing had really been diagnosed, afaik, but I'll have to dig into that a bit more....

still-complaining nicely*very nicely* and enclosing all bills and going straight to the top, does get results. NOT enclosing bills, being very whiny, saying "Apple sucks" and I'm never gonna buy Apple again" doesn't work, but saying "I'll still be an Apple customer, but just I'll have lost faith in Apple, it'll be just another company like Dell or Sony or HP" does work quite well, apparently....

Steve Jobs, you rock !

Congrats John. I was wondering what happened in your situation.

Good stuff for being patience and not losing it. You were rewarded.

Cheers,
Keebler

Some companies are on the ball and understand customer service. Your experiance will carry a lot of weight in the market and on these forums. And I bet Apple had no idea that you would be posting about your experiance on this forum.

Sometimes the facts and tact will win the day.

Enjoy your new machine.
