Someone on here said I need to configure my wireless router to 128 bit (?) for my ipod touch to work. I phoned my friend and he said I needed to put my ip address in safari and it will bring me some sort of page where I can do this.

I have tried my ip address in safari bot with spaces and dot and without, with .com at the end.

Anyone know the trick!

Or, instead of asking your friends, read the manual. You don't enter your IP address, but a specific one for the router brand - ie for Linksys it's
http://192.168.1.1/

That takes you to your configuration page. But seriously, read the manual. It's all there.
