Thumbs down Heads Up! Security Complaints about Safari

A article on the wired website indicates that there are some security issues with Safari. It mainly is pertinent to PayPal users. The link:

Sigh.

If you will follow the credited link at the bottom of the story to the original article in MacWorld, and have a quick read through the comments, you'll see that this is, as usual, much ado about nothing.

Ya, those comments are pretty scathing. Still I'll leave the thread up.

I did a double take too when they said "Our recommendation at this point, to our customers, is use Internet Explorer 7 or 8 when it comes out, or Firefox 2 or Firefox 3, or indeed Opera."

But... what... I... who... hippo...??

"Upcoming versions of Firefox and Opera are expected to support the technology."

Okay. Well, my car is safer than yours because next week I'm putting an alarm in mine.

"Apple, unfortunately, is lagging behind what they need to do, to protect their customers," Barrett said in an interview. "Our recommendation at this point, to our customers, is use Internet Explorer 7 or 8 when it comes out, or Firefox 2 or Firefox 3, or indeed Opera."
I guess I must have been asleep at the switch - when did Microsoft come out with IE7 for the Mac?
