HP 3055 All-in-1 scanner assistance pls

Hi,

An author I am working with in the U.S. is having problems sending images he is scanning on his HP 3055 All-in-1.

Although he thinks it is set to 300dpi, the TIF images I receive are in fact 150dpi.

The image is the full size of the scanner bed so it is not scaling the image, just not getting the full 300dpi resolution.

Is there anyone on here using this scanner who can help me troubleshoot this for him? I am assuming he is chosing a scanning option from the keypad and not using software, and even then, he's on a PC.

Thx.

HP 3055 all in 1 help

according to the manual (and yes, it does work under mac 10.3)
you have to *shuffles over, and looks through a bunch of stuff on desk*
mess around with the 'scan to' setup wizard, to program the all in 1 control
panel, and/or use HP laserJet scan (set up the device).. it also mentioned something about HP toolbox. hopefully somewhere in there, there's something that lets you change the scan resolution :? again this is windows, so I'm at somewhat of a loss
here

maybe this helps your friend

Hi johnb1 - mentioned the setup wizard to him and he's looking into it. He did send a JPG and the JPG was 300dpi, just seems TIF is dummied down to 150dpi. But the images he's sending are fine as JPGs so should work out in the end. Thanks.
