Can I link an intel based iMac with a PPC G5 to combine their power for running Logic Pro 8?
Mac Pro / Quad Xeon @ 2.66 GHz / 4 gigs RAM / 750 gig Tornado HD / 1900XT 512 / OS X 10.5.1 Leopard / Logic Studio 8 / Reaktor 5 / Battery 2 / Massive / Power Suite 5 /

As far as I know, the only way you can distribute processing power like this would be with Xgrid, and that requires the application to support it. From a quick look on Apple's website, Logic Pro 8 doesn't support the Xgrid feature.
