Definitive Response Needed! iPhone + Canadian Border

Hi,

Long time reader, first poster!!! I don't know why it took me so long

Anyways,

I found some old threads concerning paying duty on apple products on this site. Most are outdated and don't concern the iPhone.

I am looking to buy an iPhone this weekend. I am totally cool declaring it, I am just wondering what kind of price I'll pay. I know I pay GST and PST on top of the total cost of my receipt. BUT, do I have to pay anything else - admin fees, further duty, etc?

I heard electronics/cell phones were exempt from paying duty, but I just want to be sure!

If I declare it, how often do they actually pull you over - ie - what do I say? That I bought a phone - I am gone for less than 24 hours

Thanks so much!!!
