Has anyone ordered photobooks from apple before? What did you think of the whole process? Was it difficult making a photobook? What is the quality of it? How do you compare it to traditional photo albums.
I made a couple of photobooks for our son's grandparents. I didn't bother ordering from Apple--skip the middleman and go to mypublisher.com and save yourself a lot of money (almost 50% less than Apple's price.) You can either use the iPhoto plug-in, or use their software.
Anyway, it was really easy and the results were fantastic. Very professional looking. We got the large book done in hardcover and it turned out quite nicely. The only thing that I didn't like (but can live with) was the photo on the front is glued on and could fall off over time.
I've ordered a number of books from Apple, both hardcover and softcover. All were very impressive. The only caveat is one should opt for the express delivery, lest the order somehow gets lost in transit. I've also ordered calendars and prints; calendars look great, but prints are astounding!

Other than that... it's gorgeous.

Thanks for the tip MannyP...bookmarking that other site right now
Has anyone ever ordered photobooks from Walmart? Their local shop does a reasonable, quick and cheap job of regular prints, so I'm curious to know if their books are any good (in comparison to the Apple ones).
