old iMac for sale?
Hi there ppl,
haven't posted for a while.
Have a question, are there any 'old' iMacs for sale, that were
the latest just before the new anodized aluminum came out?
Don't want a refurbished one, brand new. Just need the
core 2 duo and the nice white iMac

RUN to FutureShop, London Drugs, BestBuy, etc. Or check for the refurbs that pop up on the far left in the "apple store" page.

Most Apple resellers still have old stock of the white iMacs, generally going for much less than they were before Tuesday. I think the Generally accepted Apple prices for the "discontinued" but still new iMacs are:
iMac 2.16GHz, 1GB, 250GB, 8x DL SuperDrive, AirPort, iSight, 128MB Video, 24”
$1,799
iMac 2.16GHz, 1GB, 250GB, 8x DL SuperDrive, AirPort, iSight, 128MB Video, 20”
$1,349
iMac 2.0GHz, 1GB, 160GB, 8x DL SuperDrive, AirPort, iSight, 128MB Video, 17”
$1,049
That's just taken from Carbon, but MacDoc or your local reseller might be able to beat/match those prices too.

For those prices, why wouldn't anyone just buy the new iMac?

They don't like 'glossy'.

thanks for the replies.
I have to update my profile, live in Canada now.
That is, 20th August I am back in Holland again,
but wife and kids are setting up shop here
and I hope to be back in Canada soon again
