Well as I first mentioned in the New Powerbook/iBook thread, Airport 3.4 does:

Quote:
This software update provides improved AirPort wireless networking software, and is recommended for all users with an AirPort Extreme and AirPort enabled computer or an AirPort Extreme base station.

New AirPort Extreme Features

Improved antenna output control.
Enhanced logging from your base station which is compatible with syslog.
Performance improvements for WPA security implementations.
However, also Apple has released Apple Airport Management Tool 1.0

It comes with 2 programs.

The Airport Management Tool, well that's great if you have to deal with Airport Base Stations and such. No good for me as I don't even have one.

However the Airport Client Monitor is real cool as we can now watch the signal, noise and connection speed of any network we are on! It only does a graph.

Cool stuff, Apple is just rolling it out these last two days.

You may want to avoid this one. Initial reports in apple forums suggests this update extremely cuts your base station range.

The new management tools can't see my base station. I assume this is because I have a first gen (Graphite) ABS.

No problems for me (17" PB, AE with a white ABS and a D-Link).
