Video/Audio Codecs

I've installed multiple divx/xvid/ac3 codecs but for some reason my audio in some AC3 files won't work.

Is there an all-in-one type codec pack for quicktime that will take care of this problem?

I've had problems with Quicktime and some codecs. It's annoying. I've always just had VLC on hand, for when Quicktime flounders

VLC Media Player 0.8.6c - MacUpdate

Try perian.

Perian - The swiss-army knife of QuickTime® components

I haven't installed it myself. I have installed A52Codec - 1.7.6 which worked for the few files I had with AC3 Audio.
