Unhappy

Accel-KKR, a New York investment banker bought Alias yesterday.

Press release link.

While separating from SGI is great for Mac development, I thought that the buzz on the street was that Apple was going to buy this Toronto-based company. I recall CPUsed sells much of Alias' used Macs.

I'm not quite sure what the implications for apple maya version would be but Alias has a good relationship with apple.
Mac development will continue..but I'm hoping they
make a OSX version of Alias Sketchbook and Alias Studio tools

My friend works for Alias and he was quite drunk yesterday.....50 bottles of champagne on the deck I believe!

I will try and get some gossip out of him.....I would dearly love Studio on OSX too!

This investment firm might sell individual products to Apple too. Didn't Apple do this on some of the sound production tools they acquired?
