However, I have read reviews on the BT MM, and it seems to have mixed reviews... I like the design and the bluetooth feature, so I would have a USB slot empty.
Actually, my dad says to get a wired mouse because wireless ones "eat up batteries too fast" and you always have to change them...
If I do go wired, which one should I choose?
I had the battery issue on my PC. I switched back to a corded mouse because of that. I do find when using my USB mouse the cord tends to interfere with its movement.
I shortly will be purchasing a new MacBook Pro. I will be adding a wireless Apple wireless mouse and keyboard to this purchase. I will also get two sets of rechargeable lithium batteries as well. That way I will always be prepared when the batteries will die.
I was told the Apple mouse will give you some sort of warning that the batteries are dying. When this happens it would be time to charge the 2nd set.
I like the design of the BT MM, since it will match my Macbook, but all of the complaints I have read are making me think otherwise...
Does anyone think Future Shop will match Tiger Direct's price, since its an online store? For the VX Rev.
Staples have the VX on for $49.96 and they matched it. It has since gone back up to $99.96 . Futureshop matched it for me on Saturday. It's way better then the might mouse. Too bad it takes up a usb port though.

TigerDirect is also a brick and mortar store/competitor, depending on where you are. If you try to pricematch the online store, you may have to factor in shipping.
I think it is important to ask why you are getting a bluetooth mouse with a MacBook though. Unless you are going to use the MacBook as a desktop most of the time (I do this and also have a bluetooth keyboard; go figure) you may find that you love the MacBook trackpad so much that the mouse goes unused (that will save battery life : ) . The trackpad gives options that can be imitated with the mighty mouse--but hey, it's a trackpad, it has cool features and it's easy and accurate to use.
The bluetooth MM isn't worth it in my opinion. Two things that bother me most about it is 1) not very comfy to use 2) right-click isn't always dependable.
If I were to do a BT mouse again I'd go for a Microsoft or Logitech one.
And also, the lithium batteries that came with my mouse lasted me about 8 months.
