Where to rent film-making equipment in Vancouver?

I need microphones, lighting and audio recorders/processors.

In Toronto, there's Vistek and Henry's. I don't know about Vancouver.

Thanks!

You could try contacting one of the universities. I know here in Montreal, McGill university rents equipment like that. I don't know if it's limited to students though.

Vancouver Film School would be a good starting point.

If they don't rent themselves, I'm sure they know *where* to rent stuff.

Vancouver Film School - A post-secondary entertainment arts school.

Christie Lites - Rental Equipment

they only have lights but its the place that many films and tv shows use along with pretty much any band touring in canada. I know people that work at the vancouver (really in burnaby) location.

Best place to go is Cine Works http://www.cineworks.ca

You have to be a member ($100) and do a few volunteer hours but once you're in there is no better place in the city. Great prices as well as resources to avid and final cut editing suites, cameras and wahtever else you might need. Heck i am in one of the suites right now logging tape! Help me I'm boreed out o' my tree!!

These guys have been around forever W.F. White, now part of Cinequip. (prices, locations)

They're in Vancouver too, but do pay them a visit in Toronto (Norseman and Islington) first. Enter off Norseman, just west of Isy. Deal locally, think globally.
