After 4 faulty logic boards Apple is replacing my 12inch 900mhz g3 iBook with a 1ghz 14inch G4 iBook. They have to give me 14inch iBook since its the only one currently available with a 60gig hard drive, my iBook was BTO with a 60gig drive. Now I need to sell my Airport Card and My Ram from my G3 iBook.

I cant wait to get this machine, and I am very happy that I can resume being PRO APPLE. I might even pick up Garage Band after my next pay cheque.

I would also like to Thank everyone on EhMac for their support through this entire ordeal.

Been following your ibook problems thread, jason, and am really happy to hear a good ending out of this. took em long enough but it sounds like a great replacement you're getting.

Excellent news!

So who did you talk to in the end to finally set things straight?

Bupe (supervisor) at Customer Relations.
I spoke to him after the third logic board failed, at that point they would not replace the machine.

If it is a new iBook, shouldn't it come with iLife '04?

And if it didn't come with iLife '04 preloaded it should have a coupon with it for iLife '04.

The reason I ask is because a Powerbook a coworker of mine got a month ago had iLife '04 preloaded. (And subsequently now has 2 restore DVDs with the Powerbook compared to the 1 that the Powerbooks used to have before iLife '04.)
