Anyone planning to get the Axiotron Modbook?

Hefty price tag but wow is this thing ever neat. Anyone planning to get one despite the fact the base model costs more than the base MacBook Pro? I think it's worth it but no keyboard and the lack of the glowing Apple symbol on the back (HEY it's important to me!)

Are you backed up??? If so, why? Psyllium Fibre is not free but will do wonders!

Hey Dona83,

I have to buy a slate/tablet PC in the next few months to do a load of drawings for my jobs. I am looking into the Modbook as a possible work purchase; but not until I see some user reviews. I don't doubt it will perform well ('cause it's just a modified Macbook).
The price is a bit high; but not bad when you compare it to the Fujitsu Stylistic Slates and some of the other tablet PCs.
Let me know when you get yours!

Noodleboy.

I think its a great idea and I hope Apple takes a cue from it. I would love a tablet macbook. The modbook doesnt do it for me though. Not having a keyboard is the killer for me. It would be fine if I just used it at home and then I would just hook up a keyboard. For school though I would want the keyboard during class.

It depends on your needs and what you plan to use the computer for.

I think the Palm and HP folding Bluetooth keyboards are compatible with Macs.
