Any way to get my Windows XP SP1 CD to work on my Core 2 Duo iMac??

I just wanted to know if it is even possible for my XP SP1 Disc to boot on the Mac at all.

I have also heard of slipstreaming a copy of XP with the SP2 but am not sure if that would work.

Thanks for the help.

I think you need an SP2 disc for Boot Camp to accept it. Slipstreaming does indeed work; I've used that to update my PCs' OS discs. The process is a tad involved, but as long as you're careful it works very nicely. Here's the article I used for the procedure:

Ok. But will that work with Boot Camp?

Also will it work with an OEM CD that came with my Dell Laptop??

Yes, you can boot and install SP1 on your Mac with bootcamp. Problem is, once installed, it is totally unusable

Slipstreaming works if you want to use Bootcamp.

Parallels also works with SP1.
