At the MacWorld Expo in January, 2001, Steve Jobs coined the phrase "digital hub" in describing the (Mac) personal computer. Today, in January, 2007, on the eve of Vista's plague, Bill gates calls the personal computer the "place where it all comes together". It's just so falling down funny to hear the comparison between these two terms and yet pathetic and sad at the same time. Bill seems like a nice enough guy, but Microsoft needs a new face man who can create a little reality-distortion-field à la Steve. This is going to be so embarrassing, first Zune now Vista.

Sorry, i don't follow. How is digital hub (buzzword plus buzzword) any more or less creative then another tag? how are the dates you put relevant? Are you just a mac fanboy or do you have a point?
There is a point, randomdef, and that is that Microsoft lacks a good PR person.

- "Digital hub" didn't become a buzzword until Steve said it, as a result I'd say that's pretty creative. (Google: digital hub Steve Jobs just to see how many times he has been quoted.)
- My point is what is now Vista, is being unfavourably compared to OS X which has been around since 2000. Essentially where Apple, OS X and Jobs were in 2001, Microsoft, Vista and Gates are today. In the world of technology, being first to market carries more than bragging rights. Coincidentally, the Zune is also five years too late. How are its sales fairing when consumers are allowed a choice? What's disheartening is the vast unwashed, in their blissful ignorance, will think Vista is "cutting edge". If only most people were not obliged to buy any variance of Microsoft's OS with a new computer, but I digress...
- Fanboi you asked? Tried and true since 1987, right down to the rainbow Apple sticker on my windshield.
