Music and Picture Mayhem between user accounts/computers
My wife and I use two computers daily... a MacBook and a Quicksilver G4. We each have an account on both machines. I guess we've been a little sloppy with which computer and account we put our digital images on and music.
Now we have 4 accounts (between the two computers) with slightly varying libraries of music and pictures. Does anybody have any advice on converging it down to one account?
I'm trying to think of an automator process to search out duplicates.
Any suggestions other than the obvious need to be more organized going forward?

Hi
You could try an app such as Chronosync. Among other things, I use it to keep my iTunes libraries in sync between my iMac and PB. It's very easy to use.
Basically you install in one of the Macs, connect the Macs over your network, then sync your iPhoto library on that Mac with the iPhoto library on the other. The end result should be that the two libraries are identical.
Chronosync may have a demo you could use.
Before doing anything, make sure you back up!

Have you synced between two different iPhoto libraries without "breaking" them?
Sounds interesting.

No, I haven't. You first .
I am not a big user of iPhoto ( I use Bridge and PS) and only have about 1,000 images in one Mac. I will try it and let you know.

There is also the option of keeping the iPhoto library on one computer and then accessing it via wi-fi (if available) with iPhotos sharing ability. Can't edit the photos and it doesn't help if you're away from home though. But it does simplify.
