Question

"FS: iBook 500MHz G3 10GB 384MB Combo

New body style
IMPORTANT INFO:
Just got brand new battery! ($125)
ibook has been returned to how it came from the factory with a full reformatting, so its very quick now.
Following format, I only powered it on to take pics!
I'll charge it up before you get it so it'll be ready to go!
Power pin connection on "Yo-Yo" power supply was a little bent but I bent it back a bit and it works perfectly (see pics) (no, its not loose or anything)
No dead pixels!!! Just small scuff marks on case from a little over 2 years of use.

SPECIFICATIONS:
500 MHz PowerPC G3 Processor
384 MB of SDRAM RAM (Upgraded with APPLE memory, not cheaper imitations out there)
10 GB Hard drive
Combo Drive (DVD & CD-R in same drive)
12.1" TFT active matrix display
ATI MOBILITY RADEON - AGP 2x Video card (plenty good for DVD viewing)
Built in speakers (much louder than the speakers I have on my PC laptop!)
Airport card ready
Can switch between MAC OS 9 and MAC OS X (set to MAC OS 9 right now)
Appleworks, itunes, imovie, Apple DVD Player, and all other original software.

PORTS:
56 Kbps modem port
Ethernet (networking - RJ-45) Cable port
Firewire port (superfast for itunes and ipod)
2 USB ports
Monitor out port (adaptor included - works with most PC monitors)
headphone/video out jack (can plug into TV, cable available at radioshack)

BRAND NEW LITHIUM ION BATTERY!!! (average run time ~ 5 hours)

Dimensions & Weight
28.5 cm (W), 23.0 cm (D), 3.4 cm (H), 2.2 kg

Original "Yo-Yo" power supply

All original software and documentation including:
System restore cd's
sotware upgrade coupons

ASKING $650 obo" ... as taken from posting elsewhere

Is this a good deal? We're on an 8600 at home and wouldn't mind having the ability to go mobile and step up into OSX.

Thanks,
Aldo

Incorrect. The ATI Mobility Radeon graphics chips found in lower-end G3 iBooks had 16 MB of VRAM and were first found in the last line-up of 600 MHz G3 iBooks.

The graphics chip in your iBook is an ATI Rage Mobility 128 with 8 MB of VRAM.
