MacBook & Hercules DJ Console MKII

Hey folks,

I am in the midst of buying a MacBook to complement my turntables. I am either going the way of an M-Audio Audiofile interface or the Hercules DJ Console MKII. Any thoughts?

With the console I can use Virtual DJ (I think it was ported...) to be extremley portable when I can't have my decks with me; instant party. If I sell my soul to the digital overlords I can buy some time-encoded vinyl and use that for the "feeling" of using vinyl.

With Audiofile I can connect my turntables to my MacBook but functionally doesn't handle much but it does let me use Virtual DJ to mix off the laptop.

I think Hercules is the better more fun way but wanted to know if it is garbage or what people think or perhaps offer another setup.

Cheers,

Scott

hmmm well first off do you have turntables? ok now remeber the old saying "you get what you pay for" the hercules is garbage i tried 1 out for a week and it is a toy don't get me wrong it is a lil cool toy but that's what it is a TOY and it does not use virtule dj it uses a lite version of Traktor. you second choice is the M-audio Torq not audiofile those are the monitors it is torq mate from what i see and tried I do believe it is the serato killer reasons... cause it is very easy to use and for the cost damn very nice if u would like more you can contact me @ ben_grimey@hotmail.com
