Hard cover/case for Core 2 Macbook Pro?

Hi all,

In search of a hard cover/case to prevent scratches while using my Core2 MBP. The Eaton Centre Apple Store had the See Thru Hard Shell case on sale for $29.99 but it doesn't fit the Core 2s as the ports are different than the first gen MBPs. Any other alternatives out there?

Here's a link to the See Thru Hard Shell:

I don't think they've made any other hard shells for the MBPs, unfortunately. They'll probably update the Speck hard shell soon enough, just keep checking the website, or send them an email.

The case is red, not the macbook. It's on sale for $29.99 at the Eaton Centre Apple Store. Only 3 left when I went there today.

Is your MBP a 15"?

If it is it clearly says on the Speck website that it "Fits 15" MacBook Pro Core Duo AND Core 2 Duo! "

That's the nature of things going "on sale." But you could as them if they have some sort of price protection which may change based on what you bought and how long ago.

I got one from the Sherway Garden store at $49.99 and I can tell you that the ports did not line up properly on my MacBook Pro either. I guess I have to go back and return it next week.

I saw a returned red one at the store (unwrapped). I'm going to tell the store that it doesn't fit and hope that they're going to remove the cases from the shelf. I would hate for someone else to waste their time having to return the product.

Cheers

The website states that it fits both probably because they released a new version which is not yet available in store.
