Just got back from a 4 day vacation with my wife in Las Vegas. Much to my surprise, Apple has one huge presence there. Virtually every casino gives away iPods as part of their comp programs, but the big presence is really on the strip. Apple has a store in the Fashion Show Mall which is on the busiest part of the strip near Treasure Island and Wynn's. They have virtually taken over a huge "Jumbotron" that faces the strip (which is always busy day and night) and have the new iPod Remastered ad playing at a rate of once every minute.

That's with sound which you can hear anywhere within a block of the mall.
Plus they have iPod ads on every corner of the mall.

The Apple store itself is about the size of the Sherway Gardens store.

The staff are extremely friendly (no shock there) and are even aware that Toronto has three Apple stores, Montreal has one, and of great interest, there are TWO stores to be opened out west. I couldn't get any details out of the Genius that I spoke to, but I found that tidbit of info interesting. I wonder if he knows something or he's blowing smoke out of someplace....
